Two men suspected in nine robberies were arrested during a Pineville homicide investigation Jan. 26.

Steven Chambers, 17, and Jamal Pittman, 19, were suspected in a string of robberies over the past month, including the Gas and Go Food Mart, 13209 Carowinds Blvd.; the Circle K at 3201 Pineville-Matthews Road; the Petro Express at 4336 Park Road; the Dunkin Donuts at 9033 S. Tryon St.; the Harris Teeter at 9720 Rea Road; and four other area stores. Both were arrested during the investigation into the death of 25-year-old Jared Bolli, who was killed in Pineville on Jan. 23.

After robbing the McDonald’s on West Sugar Creek Road where Chambers worked, police say the duo spread out, looking to hit other stores.

Chambers faces larceny, robbery and conspiracy charges, as well as assault with a deadly weapon. Pittman and one other suspect, 17-year-old Jacob Case, were charged with Bolli’s murder. Police are investigating their connection to the robberies.
